Bill of Lading (B/L)
A transportation contract between the sender with the owner of the commodity. Created by shippers, it.s probably negotiable or non-negotiable. Negotiable means commodity can be traded during the trip while the non-negotiable is on the contrary.
Commercial Invoice
Is a billing invoice containing details of the commodities and the overall price. Actually there is a difference between the Commercial Invoice with the Proforma Invoice. Proforma Invoice is prepared by the exporter in response to sales order / reservation and does not require prospective buyers to purchase commodities. Meanwhile, Commercial Invoice is shipped by exporters with the specifications approved and signed by both parties, then returned to the exporter. Commercial Invoice could be a copy of the Proforma Invoice if there is no change at the negotiation.
Packing List
Contains information of the gross and net weight of cargo, invoice number and name of the importer. The Packing List must show details, complete and clear specification of the commodities.
Health Certificate
A certificate that shows an item of analysis information of the commodities, explains that it.s safe for humans or animals.
